Who we are

A production partner
publishers keep,
not one they audition.

Vivlio Info Solution was built by people who have spent their working lives inside publishing production — composing pages, tagging content, chasing references and hitting print dates that do not move.

We work as an extension of your production department rather than a job shop. Teams are assigned per publisher and stay with your list, which is why a second title always runs faster than the first. Everything happens across our own two offices — the Coimbatore studio and operations in Puducherry: composition, conversion, editorial, artwork and language work.

What we do

Six services.
One production floor.

Most publishers come to us for one thing and stay for three. Because composition, tagging, editorial and artwork sit in the same building, a figure redraw never waits on a supplier and a late correction never breaks the XML.

Editorial, typography, design, coding, delivery and distribution icons above an open book
Every stage of the stack, from the first editorial query to the file that reaches a reader's device.
How we work

Six steps from first
contact to sign-off.

No onboarding theatre and no long procurement cycle. Most publishers are running a live title with us inside three weeks of the first email.

1
Step 1

Brief and sample

You send a chapter, your style sheet and the output formats you need. We return typeset pages, a validated XML file or a proofed extract, so you can judge the work before committing anything.

2
Step 2

Specification lock

We rebuild your house style as a working template, agree the file naming, the deliverable set and the query protocol, then sign it off with your production editor so nothing is left to interpretation.

3
Step 3

Pilot title

One full title runs end to end against the locked specification. Both sides see exactly what a finished delivery looks like before a season's worth of work is scheduled.

4
Step 4

Production

Pages are composed, figures redrawn, references checked and files converted. Your dedicated team stays the same across the list, so the learning does not have to happen twice.

5
Step 5

Quality control

Every file passes a three-stage check: composition against the template, editorial against the style sheet, and automated validation for XML, ePub and accessibility conformance.

6
Step 6

Delivery and corrections

Files land in your repository in the agreed structure, with the validation report attached. Author corrections and proof rounds come back fast, without a fresh round of briefing.

Why publishers stay

The second title
is always easier
than the first.

  • A named team, not a queue. The same production people handle your list season after season, so your style sheet lives in their heads as well as in a document.
  • One floor, no subcontracting. Composition, tagging, editorial and artwork all happen in our own studio, with our own staff, under our own NDAs.
  • Dates that hold. Schedules are built backwards from your print or publication date, with the slack made visible to you rather than hidden from you.
  • Queries you can answer quickly. Author queries arrive batched, numbered and in context, not scattered across a PDF.
  • Priced per page, not per surprise. The rate you agree after the sample is the rate you are invoiced, including standard correction rounds.
Questions

The things
publishers ask
us first.

Anything not covered here, ask us directly. We answer every message within one working day.

Yes. Send one chapter or a representative extract and we return typeset sample pages, a converted XML file or a proofed extract, together with a per-page costing and a schedule for the full title.
We deliver JATS 1.1 and 1.2 for journals, BITS for books, DocBook, TEI, NLM legacy DTDs and any bespoke publisher DTD or schema you supply. Every file is validated before delivery and we send the validation report with it.
Yes. Most publishers send a style sheet, a sample of a previously published title and their template. We rebuild the specification, run a pilot title and lock the setup so every subsequent book comes back identical.
We produce ePub 3 files that meet WCAG 2.1 AA and the EPUB Accessibility 1.1 specification, including structured headings, alt text for figures, MathML, logical reading order and accessibility metadata for the European Accessibility Act.
Files move over encrypted transfer only, sit in access-controlled project folders, and are never used outside the job. We sign your NDA before the first file is sent and work to your data retention window.
The floor is built to scale by title rather than by page. Teams are assigned per publisher so the same people handle your list, and we add capacity in blocks when a season peaks. Tell us your annual page count and we will map the resourcing before you commit.
